SON OF BALTIMORE

Matt is a graduate of Baltimore City Public Schools, Coppin State University, and Walden University. Matt has experience working in local, and state government. First, he served as a senior aide to a former member of the Baltimore County Council, and currently as senior advisor to Maryland's Comptroller. His involvement in the policy making process, on both levels, give Matt a unique understanding of the interplay between state and local government. This advantage ensures Matt Minson will be effective on Day One in the legislature.

Matt and his wife Clair, a Workforce Strategist with the Associated Black Charities, are proud to be raising their three daughters in the Hilltop neighborhood, where Matt grew up. As a family, the Minson’s are active in their community.

MATT'S VISION
Baltimore needs safe neighborhoods, and high performing public schools. The Park Heights and Edmondson Avenue corridors need a strong infusion of economic development that should include quality retail establishments, and sit-down restaurants. Most importantly, our kids and communities need HOPE.

Hope is what makes people believe they can do better. Hope motivates people to achieve goals and aspirations. Hope is what makes our young people believe they truly have the power to control their own destiny.

This campaign will work tirelessly to help instill hope into our distressed communities. We have an opportunity to change the trajectory of the 41st district and we're asking you to join us as we fight for the issues that matter to you and push for real change in our city.

Matt's involvement with groups such as the Hilltop 4100 Community Association, Neighborhoods United, and Forest Park Alumni Association have given him an opportunity to work with some of our city's best and brightest young people. Our kids have the aptitude, willingness, and desire to learn. We must continue to nurture them, provide them with exposure to a broad array of career paths, and instill the belief that they can achieve anything they put their minds to.
